The Fruit of the Lettuce

In botany, a fruit tree is the receptacle for a seed which is actually a berry, hence the term “fruit tree”. All berry plants belong to the berry family. They have three main classes: the pomegranate, citrus and cranberry. A fruit tree is a structure with fruit attached and usually covered with fruit-bearing foliage. There are five seasonings used in the preparation of fruit; salt, sugar, orange juice or marmalade, water and spices. The fruits are usually black and/or red in color depending on what variety is selected.

The basic components of a fruit tree are the ovaries, the fruit, the leaf structure, the trunk and the flowers or petals. The ovary is a small bag-shaped structure, which is surrounded by the fruit. The ovule is a small capsule containing the viable fruit (ectopic) cells. The fruit contains an exotically produced serum that signals the ovule to begin growing.

The fruit develops externally through the female flowers. The majority of cultivated fruits (except for the acai berry) have a fleshy interior that consists of multiple layers of skin, bark and leaves. The seeds are enclosed in the thickest part of the fruit, called the follicle. The white interior of the fruit is called the pulp. The most important component of the fruit, the seeds, are not included in the seeds.

To eat, the fruit has to be broken open. The seeds are in a state of dormancy and cannot germinate. Seeds can be cracked open by hand or with a knife to remove the exosphere. Most edible fruits have a bitter taste, and the bitter taste stems from the tannins contained in the seeds.

Tomato: The tomato is a familiar world fruit. The flesh of the tomato contains many globular fruit-like seeds. The tomato fruit itself has a somewhat distinct taste and smell, which may be likened to a blend of tomato and cucumber. The vegetable is a green, elongated vegetable with four hollow leaves, and a tapering base.

It is important to kill any weeds before beginning to grow a tomato garden. Also, it is not recommended to plant tomatoes next to other fruits or vegetables as they will compete for space. Planting tomatoes in raised beds is most beneficial because the gardener can move the tomato plant to wherever is most convenient for planting. Tomatoes are very productive and give a healthy reward for the gardener who grows them properly.
